The Ramblers Leek Group
We organise a variety of walks of different lengths and cater for members of  all abilities.

Most Sundays we have a walk  and in the summer we organise mid-week evening walks.

You are welcome to come on any of our walks and we hope that after enjoying 2 or 3 that you will join the Ramblers’ Association.
The Ramblers works with central government, local government and other organisations to maintain and enhance the nation’s footpaths.  The network is a priceless asset, for the enjoyment of everyone.

We have inherited, largely by accident, footpaths in almost every part of the country.  Ancient parish paths, green lanes used to transport goods before canals and railways were established, and newer paths, some established when the railway system was reduced after the Beeching axe of the twentieth century.  The Forestry Commission and Water Authorities have provided access to many areas.  Many generous landowners have granted discretionary and permanent rights of way across farmland and moorland.

The canal towpaths provide welcome access to peace and tranquility particularly in urban areas.

Footpaths require signposting and styles and footbridges must be built and maintained, trees and hedges pruned and areas of a sensitive nature must be protected.

The Ramblers is primarily a campaigning group but we also organise walks and social events for our members
To have a footpath network well maintained and enhanced for the enjoyment of all.
